Dear friends, in 2017, my mother, little sister, and myself got a chance to play piano for hearing-impaired children.
I was deeply touched by their innocence and enthusiasm. From then on, my little sister and I have been using our pocket money to sponsor hearing rehabilitation for children.
Besides, I launched the first Chinese knotting intangible culture website (http://doudouknot.com) as I am really good at weaving Chinese knots with seven strands of colored threads.
This is how Doudou Chinese Knot was born. I donated all proceeds as well as my pocket money to Beijing Changping District Xiaojudeng Children’s Rehabilitation Education Center.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I continuously maintain the website and keep encouraging web viewers for donation. Till now, the project has raised around 4952 dollars.
To my delight, some of the hearing-impaired children have been healed and returned to normal schooling. In the near future, I plan to teach piano to hearing-impaired children. I sincerely welcome friends from home and abroad to join me to help them, so that the children can live and learn better and have a happy and joyful childhood.
